Purple cabbage and potato soup is a lovely and tasty gluten-free vegan soup.   • Purple cabbage – 1 cup (grated)
  • Potato – 1 medium (chopped and unpeeled)
  • Jeera – ½ teaspoon
  • Black pepper – 5,6
  • Salt as per taste
  • Ginger powder – ¼ teaspoon
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Coconut milk – ¼ cup
  • Dulse – ½ teaspoon


  • Heat a pan
  • Add jeera and Black pepper and wait for it to splutter
  • Now add 1 cup of grated purple cabbage
  • Add unpeeled potato
  • Add salt and ginger powder
  • Add 1 cup water and mix everything well
  • Simmer for 15 minutes on low flame with the lid on.
  • Remove the lid and blend the soup in a blender until it turns smooth and creamy
  • Add coconut milk for a creamy consistency
  • Sprinkle some dulse
  • Enjoy your delicious purple cabbage soup
